Brighton was launched in 1991 with a single collection of belts. Over the years, Brighton has become an accessory company with something for everyone. Handbags and purses were added to the line in 1993, followed by small leather goods, watches, jewelry, charms, home accessories, eyewear and most recently, luggage.

A silver heart dangles from all Brighton handbags and purses and adorns many of the jewelry pieces and other products in the collection.

Today Brighton is the only major accessories line featuring products that coordinate from head to toe. Brighton believes the difference is in the details, which is why Brighton's design team travels the world seeking inspiration and then sketch each creation by hand. A host of artisans then capture all the detail and beauty of the original pencil drawing. The hand assembly of Brighton leather accessories - many of which are made of fine Italian leather - often requires as many as 140 individual manufacturing steps using up to 40 different parts. It is a decidedly traditional process that seems more in keeping with the Renaissance era than the high-tech 21st century.
