There were no changing rooms, so clothing sizes were intentionally forgiving. Over the next three decades, Cut Loose moved its operations indoors and spread out to women’s clothing stores across the country and around the world—all while staying true to thier creative roots.

Cut Loose clothing is still made of natural fibers—mostly cotton, linen, and cellulose-derived Tencel—and are garment dyed in a San Francisco manufacturing facility. (Sweaters are made overseas.) Colors, styles, and fabrics are refreshed every season, but best-selling items–such as the cropped cardi—are typically carried over.

Becca’s LEGacy is a childhood cancer organization which began in honor and memory of Becca Brottman of St. Charles.  Becca lost her 2 1/2 year battle with cancer three years ago, at the age of seven.  Becca’s LEGacy began out of Becca’s wish to have her own foundation to help other children with cancer.  When asked what she wanted her foundation to be about, Becca replied that she wanted to raise awareness about childhood cancer, help find a cure, and give toys to hospitalized kids with cancer to help them feel better.  Her final wish was that we carry on with her dream and “do her foundation.”

Since losing Becca in September 2008, Becca’s LEGacy has continued with annual toy drives and fundraising for CureSearch to help find a cure for childhood cancer.  By sharing her story, her the foundation raises awareness about the reality of childhood cancer and the need for a cure—and through your donations provides a spark of joy to hospitalized kids currently struggling with cancer.

I wanted to share a story with you about the little traveler.  My dear friend and neighbor had a birthday, and she is a person who has everything. I had no clue what to get her but I wanted to do something to make the day a great one for her.

The two of us came to The Little Traveler for shopping, had a lovely lunch in the restaurant, enjoyed the fashion show and had so much fun looking at all of the fun merchandise in all of the rooms and nooks and crannies at the Little Traveler.

The best gift  you can give someone is your time, in my opinion, and the time we both spent at the Little Traveler that day was priceless. I know that we will make this an annual event and I look forward to next year and having another lovely day.
