Daniel Burnham—Make No Little Plans
Daniel Burnham narrates a slide program detailing the Chicago Fire of 1871 to the city’s rise from the ashes to become the White City at the 1893 World’s Columbian Exhibition. He’ll then explain the Chicago Plan of 1909, which outlines a development plan for the city. Burnham will also discuss his innovative masterpieces, the Montauk, Monadnock, Reliance, and the Rookery.
