Vera Bradley Room

The Little Traveler has Chicago's best selection of Vera Bradley

The Vera Bradley collection of quilted cotton handbags, luggage, and accessories is so popular with Little Traveler customers, it has its own dedicated room in the center of our shop, just outside the Atrium Café. And the scenery is always changing with the seasons as Vera Bradley introduces new fabrics and styles. Right now our Vera Bradley Room is abloom with Vera’s Spring 2012 colors: Camillia, Ellie Blue, Island Blooms, and Rosy Posies.

History:

The idea for the company first sparked in March of 1982, when company co-founders Barbara Bradley Baekgaard and Patricia R. Miller, longtime friends, were on vacation and noticed a distinct need for luggage tailored to feminine tastes. As loyal Vera Bradley fans know, the enterprising women were successful in creating a product that is not only beautiful, but also functional, long-lasting and versatile---keeping up with women’s changing needs.

Who is Vera Bradley?

Veronica Bradley, mother of Vera Bradley co-founder Barbara Baekgaard, was born on August 9, 1909. In the 1930s she was chosen by Elizabeth Arden to model. It was Vera’s classic style and grace along with her fun and colorful personality that inspired Barbara and Patricia to name their company after her. Vera Bradley herself worked as a sales representative for the Vera Bradley company in her Miami, Florida community until she died in the early 1990s.

Vera Bradley is located in Fort Wayne, Indiana where the company remains committed to high quality and exclusive designs.
