Around the House: An Artist Returns

When Jim Hagemann stopped in The Little Traveler just after the holidays to run a few errands, he didn't know he'd be posing for a picture. But when he took a peek at the paintings on two of our dressing room doors and told us that he'd painted them, we couldn't resist.

He's not sure of the exact year, but he remembers being commissioned to paint the doors in the 1990s. He was given free rein on the design and was inspired by the piano and instruments in our Clothing Galleries, or as he calls it, "The music room." It was kismet that this photo was taken on the day he wore his guitar shirt—he fits right in!

That's not Jim's only tie to The Little Traveler. When he was in Junior High, our very own Joe Greenberg was his art teacher!

So, now when you try on something fabulous in one of these dressing rooms, you'll know a little bit more about the artist behind the beautiful harp & violin. You'll also know to look for his signature:
