A note from the owner, Mike Simon:

We know that The Little Traveler is an oasis from the pressures of the everyday world under normal circumstances, and we are taking extra steps to ensure that you continue to feel safe when visiting us.  We are open each day during our normal hours, are doing all the special events we have planned, and we are stocked with beautiful spring things to decorate your home, excite your palette, and wrap your body in colorful new fashions.  We hope you’ll come and visit us.

In order to protect you, and us, here’s a list of extra measures we have implemented to minimize risks during this time of uncertainty.

• We have Purell 70% alcohol hand sanitizer at each sales counter and at the front door. We encourage you to use it when you are visiting us, and we are asking all of our staff to use it throughout the day. We are also asking them to wash their hands with soap and water throughout the day.
• The staff at each sales counter has spray bottles of industrial strength cleaner.  They are using it throughout the day to wipe down their counters.
• We have discontinued our regular food samples in the gourmet department, which were available for everyone to take. We have some of our favorite food items available for sampling each day at our gourmet department counters, which our staff will be happy to serve you.
• Our bathrooms are being cleaned every hour.
• Our doorknobs are being sanitized every hour.
• Each table in the Atrium Cafe is being wiped down with industrial strength cleaner after each use.
• We have put paper towels in each of our bathrooms and are encouraging people to use them after washing their hands, rather than using the hot air hand dryers.
• We have instructed our staff not to come to work if they are showing any flu or cold-like symptoms. They are not to return to work until they have been cleared by a medical professional.
• UPDATE: In light of new recomendations by the CDC, we have cancelled all March events. April events are on hold. We continue to take registrations for May events, but the situation is fluid, so we'll reassess as the events draw closer.
