Book Signing with the Illustrator and Author

Meet both the illustrator and the author of Cumie the Brave Little Cloud, a charming and educational book for children ages 3-8 years old. Both of them have strong Geneva roots! This event will take place in our Linen Room.
Illustrator Kathryn Nagel is a graduate of NIU’s School of Art & Design.
Author Kurt Wehrmeister is an award-winning local columnist.
About the Book
Cumie is a happy little-girl cumulus cloud, born of water vapor sent skyward by Mother Earth. She enjoys floating and sightseeing, but becomes worried as she grows older and more sluggish, and learns that she soon will exist no more. However, she realizes that her rain is dearly welcomed by thirsty people, animals and plants, by dry lakes and rivers -- and as Cumie fades from being, she ultimately takes pride in this true purpose of her life.
