***Event Cancelled*** Lamp & Lighting Repair

April 8 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

The Little Traveler is temporarily closed to help stop the spread of COVID-19. All events through April 30 have been cancelled. We're taking a wait-and-see approach on events scheduled to occur after May 1. Learn more about our temporary closing.

Bob Auwaerter's affinity for restoration projects began with the restoration of his 1920s St. Charles home. He's always been mechanically inclined and has a talent for restoring motorcycles, tractors, cars, etc. When his wife became an antiques dealer and collector, he turned his skills toward restoring antiques and made a natural progression into lighting. When he retired, lamp repair became his focus, and he's been doing freelance lighting repair for over three years.

Because of his background in antiques, Bob has a respect for the integrity of the original pieces. He uses reproduction vintage wire and replacement pieces when repairing and restoring antique lamps and lighting fixtures. His specialty is antique lighting, but he also repairs more contemporary pieces. He fixes standing lamps, desk and table lamps, and chandeliers. He's even crafted some of his own original pieces.

Free estimates. Minor repairs can be done while you shop. Larger projects will be taken to his shop for repairs and then delivered to The Little Traveler for pick-up.
