Fancy Shepherd’s Pie


  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 8 tbsp butter, reserve 2 tbsp and keep chilled
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 1 cup frozen corn
  • 5 large potatoes, peeled
  • 1 jar Stonewall Kitchen Corn Relish*
  • 1/4 cup Stonewall Kitchen Maine Maple Champagne Mustard*
  • 1 Tbsp Stonewall Kitchen Organic Olive Oil*
  • 1/4 cup Stonewall Kitchen Roasted Garlic Onion Jam*


Boil potatoes in salted water until tender. Heat oil in skillet. Add onion; cook until soft. Add beef, pork, salt, and pepper. Cook until crumbly and no longer pink. Drain fat. Add mustard and mix well. Pour into a 9×13 baking dish. Mix Corn Relish with frozen corn and layer evenly over meat. Drain potatoes; add 6 Tbsp butter and coarsely mash. Add Garlic Onion Jam and mash well. Add milk slowly until desired consistency. Spread potatoes evenly over corn layer. Top with pats of chilled butter. Bake uncovered at 350° for 40 minutes or until potatoes are browned.
