About the Destination

Bus Tours to the historic Little TravelerDowntown Geneva is known as a unique shopping destination with over 100 specialty shops. Many of them are set inside charming Victorian-style homes. Founded in 1922 by Mrs. Edmund Raftery, The Little Traveler is the grandaddy of them all.

The Raftery's original Italianate Victorian residence still serves as the center section of The Little Traveler. Over the decades, the store has grown considerably to thirty-six rooms of treasures. As has always been the tradition, caring staff will greet you in every room, and you'll be amazed by the never-ending array of items brought back by modern day little travelers. You can even enjoy lunch or afternoon tea in the Atrium Cafe set at the center of the store.

It all started as a simple idea and evolved into a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. Still locally owned and operated, The Little Traveler is a Geneva landmark that has been enjoyed for generations. Read the store's full history.
